The White Ribbon Association is the working name of WTAEU, a UK registered Christian Charity.
Our aim is to educate about the health issues surrounding the misuse of alcohol, drugs and smoking. We also focus on gambling. In addition to the effects of these on health, both physical and mental, we highlight the repercussions they can have on family, friends, society and the environment.
We produce a range of leaflets and posters suitable for use in schools, colleges, youth projects and other establishments. We also organise events and affiliate with national and international like-minded organisations. Our Development Officer, Vickki, works with children and young adults in a variety of settings, providing education on alcohol, smoking, drugs and gambling. She also works with other organisations, providing information and support and raising awareness of a variety of issues.
We publish a quarterly magazine, the White Ribbon with topical coverage of issues relating to drugs, alcohol, smoking and gambling. You can subscribe to this magazine for £5 a year, or become a member and receive the magazine as a part of your membership.
For kids, we publish The Ribboners magazine twice-yearly,with appropriate games, activities, articles and information.
We encourage our members to be active within their communities and to make their voices heard in local and national campaigns.
