Action on Addiction
Action on Addiction is a charity which works with people with drug and/or alcohol addictions. They provide treatment throughout England, have a specialist family service, train professionals and carry out research. They run both residential treatment facilities, including a specialist women's treatment programme, and structured day treatment. Action on Addiction also run aftercare programmes, including a work training skills project.

Addaction
Addaction offer free and confidential treatment and services for those with drug and alcohol problems and their families. They work in England and Scotland and provide a range of services including rehabilitation, young people's services, women's services, family support, providing information on drugs and alcohol, assistance with drug reduction, aftercare, health advice, therapy and support groups, support for those in the criminal justice system and help with employment, education, housing and finances.

Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous assists people who have problems with alcohol through support meetings and the twelve steps method. Meetings are run all over Britain and Ireland, and there is no fee (members contribute what they are able). The only requirement is a desire for sobriety.
