The world around you

WorldIt's important to know about the world around you.

We're lucky in the UK to live in a country where children don't work and can go to school every day, and where we usually have more than enough water. It's sometimes easy to forget that children around the world are living in difficult conditions.

You can read a letter from Messi, who lives and works in the tobacco fields in Malawi, gathering the crop for use in cigarettes.

You can also learn about other countries which don't have enough water, and how it affects the people living there. Ana's letter describes what it's like to live in a city where there is water rationing.

FriendsChildren all over the world deserve to be safe, to be able to go to school, not have to work and to live healthily and happily.

It's important to learn how other people live, be compassionate and think about others. Maybe one day you'll be one of the people who works out how to make children's lives better!
