Class A
- Class A drugs include: Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Ecstasy, Heroin, LSD (Acid), Magic Mushrooms, Methadone and Morphine.
- Maximum penalties: For possession - 7 years in prison and/or a fine, possession with intent to supply - Life imprisonment and/or a fine.
Class B
- Class B drugs include: Amphetamines (speed), Cannabis, barbiturates and codeine.
- Maximum penalties: For possession - 5 years in prison and/or a fine, possession with intent to supply - Life imprisonment and/or a fine.
Class C
- Class C drugs include: Ketamine, some tranquillisers like Temazepam and the supply of anabolic steroids.
- Maximum penalties: For possession - 5 years in prison and/or a fine, possession with intent to supply - Life imprisonment and/or a fine.
